The variety is classified as a nitrate-trapping crop. Its primary agricultural purpose is for use as a green manure to improve soil health and prevent nitrogen leaching during the off-season.

The plant possesses a pronounced ability to inhibit the reproduction of Heterodera schachtii nematodes. The variety is not intended for industrial production of culinary mustard and is not characterized by oil content or pungency indicators.
