The variety is intended for biofumigation, in which incorporating green matter into the soil promotes the release of isothiocyanates. These substances suppress pathogens such as Phytophthora spp., Sclerotinia spp., Rhizoctonia spp., and Pythium spp. Plants reach a height of 180–260 cm and produce up to 100–120 tonnes of green matter per hectare.
The plant is characterized by a high content of glucosinolates, including sinigrin. Agricultural practice involves sowing in the autumn or winter period with a seeding rate of 8–12 kg/ha. Soil incorporation is carried out at the full flowering stage. The variety shows hardiness and effectively suppresses weed growth due to rapid biomass accumulation.
Studies indicate the possibility of using the variety as a host plant for the root-knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita. When planning crop rotation, the phytosanitary condition of the soil and the status of the crop regarding this pest should be taken into account.
