Plants of the Małopolska variety reach a height of about 115 cm. The growing season is 100–110 days. Seed yield during testing was recorded at 1.14 t/ha.

The seeds are brown-red in color, the thousand kernel weight is about 2.23 g. The chemical composition is characterized by a fat content of about 35% and protein of about 28.5%. Lodging resistance was rated at 7 points on a 9-point scale.

The variety was used as an oilseed crop, as well as in the production of seasonings and for pharmaceutical purposes. Due to its biological characteristics, the variety was used in experiments on soil phytoremediation for the accumulation of heavy metals in biomass.
