Brassica juncea (L.) Czern. Brown mustard · Vegetables · bred by LOCHOW| KWS LOCHOW GMBH

Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety has a compact habit and lower height compared to other mustard varieties. Due to very late flowering and a prolonged vegetative phase, sowing is possible at different times without the risk of seed formation.

The high glucosinolate content, particularly sinigrin, ensures biofumigation capacity, suppressing soil-borne pathogens, including Fusarium, Rhizoctonia, Pythium, Verticillium, Sclerotinia, as well as scab and wireworm. The variety withstands difficult summer conditions well and is recommended for use in mixtures with legumes.
