Variety description

10 August 2026

The Vitasso variety is characterized by a late maturity period, which ensures the accumulation of high levels of glucosinolates, including sinigrin. This property is applied for the suppression of Gaeumannomyces graminis and Fusarium pathogens, as well as for studying resistance to clubroot of crucifers.

The plant is used as a sanitary crop in crop rotations and as a green manure. In addition to phytosanitary purposes, the variety is used in scientific research on the phytoextraction of heavy metals such as cadmium and arsenic. The crop biomass can reach 50 tonnes per hectare.
