The variety is intended for the suppression of soil pathogens and pests, such as the fungus Rhizoctonia solani, through the release of isothiocyanates when green mass is incorporated into the soil. The plant is characterized by moderate mass formation at the beginning of the growing season and a reduced tendency to lodging.

Due to its standardized characteristics, the variety is used in scientific experiments, including research on in vitro tissue regeneration and genetic transformation, including genome editing methods.
