The variety is a biennial plant. It forms large, oval, fleshy root crops with yellow skin and creamy-white flesh. The leaves are large, lyrate, of a soft bluish-green color, located on long petioles.

The variety possesses high winter hardiness and resistance to low temperatures, and is well-adapted to a cool climate. The crop is sensitive to drought and demanding regarding soil moisture levels. It is characterized by high yield and good keeping quality during storage.

The root crops have a delicate, slightly sweet taste and are used both for fodder purposes and in cooking for the preparation of salads, soups, and purees.
