The variety originates from the Delsbo region, Sweden. The root is rounded in shape, grows well above the soil surface, and is characterized by a green 'neck' and a yellow main part. On clay soils, a single main root is formed; on sandy soils, branching is possible.

The variety has a 'dry' texture and a mild, slightly sweet taste with a hint of hazelnut. The product is suitable for raw and cooked consumption and is distinguished by good keeping quality during storage.

Currently, the variety is in demand primarily for the preservation of biodiversity, as well as for the restaurant sector and local markets as an authentic vegetable crop.
