The plant reaches a height of 30 to 70 cm. The leaves have a characteristic pale green shade and a curled leaf blade. The variety is an open-pollinated variety propagated by seeds.

The variety demonstrates resistance to lodging and possesses frost tolerance down to –8 °C. The produce is suitable for culinary use, as well as for preserving and freezing. In addition to its food purpose, the variety is used as an ornamental crop.
