Vert demi-nain is a compact plant 60–80 cm tall with intricately frilled leaves of dark green or green color. Due to its form, the variety is resistant to lodging, which allows it to be grown in small gardens or containers.

The variety belongs to the very early category. It possesses high cold hardiness, and the flavor quality of the leaves improves after exposure to frosts. The harvest is collected by the method of gradual cutting of individual leaves from autumn until winter.

The leaves have a delicate texture and are suitable for fresh consumption, stewing, preparing soups, and vegetable chips. The crop is intended for cultivation in the open field.
