The plant forms a strong, densely leafy stem 60–70 cm tall. The leaves are dark purple in color, characterized by a bullate structure and strong curling.

The variety is mid-late and is capable of withstanding temperatures down to –18 °C. The produce is intended for fresh consumption, and its decorative appearance allows the crop to be used for garden ornamentation during the winter period.
