The plant reaches a height of 40–60 cm and forms a rosette of densely arranged, strongly curled leaves. The color of the leaf blades varies from green to dark green, sometimes with a bluish tint. The variety does not form a head.

The variety is intended for long-term cultivation and harvesting in the winter period. After exposure to the first frosts, the taste of the leaves becomes more delicate and sweet. The product is suitable for fresh consumption, as well as for making soups and purees.
