The Rivera hybrid is a specialized subject for laboratory and field experiments. In scientific publications, it is used to study glucosinolate composition, interaction with soil organisms, and pest resistance mechanisms.

The variety possesses a certain resistance to cabbage whitefly (Aleyrodes proletella), with the degree of this resistance changing depending on the age of the plant and being more pronounced in mature specimens. Agronomic characteristics, such as yield or maturity group, are not available in open sources.
