The Ova Dæhnfeldt variety belongs to the forage turnip group. The root crops have an elongated or cylindrical Tankard yellow type shape and yellow flesh.

During studies, the variety stood out for its yield indicators and biochemical composition, in particular an increased beta-carotene content. In agronomic publications and breeding programs, this specimen is considered a valuable source of starting material.
