The variety possesses high winter hardiness and the ability to withstand harsh winters with little snow, as well as flooding by meltwater. The plant forms a powerful root system and is noted for being undemanding regarding growing conditions; it is suitable for cultivation in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones.

Hay yield indicators in individual trials reached 99.5–106.1 c/ha. The average seed yield when using mineral fertilizers is about 300 kg/ha. Studies of the variety also include an examination of the effect of pre-sowing seed treatment with biological preparations and biofungicides.
