The variety is a slow-growing dwarf shrub 10–30 cm in width. The plant has small needle-like dark green leaves arranged oppositely and a finely branched root system.
Flowering occurs from July to October, with pink flowers gathered in raceme inflorescences. The variety is frost-hardy and prefers growing in sunny or semi-shaded areas in loose, humus-rich soil with high acidity.
