The variety is a compact shrub with small scale-like foliage. The leaf color changes throughout the season: in spring they are yellow, in summer they become orange, and by winter they acquire a red hue. Purple-violet or lilac-pink flowers are collected in elongated inflorescences.
The plant begins to bloom in late summer and flowers until autumn. The variety is characterized by high disease resistance and the ability to tolerate drought, however, it is sensitive to late frosts and requires cultivation in acidic soils. Winter hardiness corresponds to USDA zone 5.
This crop is used for decorative landscaping of rock gardens, flower beds, and heath gardens.
