The variety is a bud-blooming heather: its flowers do not open fully, which ensures long-lasting flowering from September to November. The sepals are colored mauve, and the foliage has a medium-green shade.
The plant forms a wide, dense bush. The variety is suitable for decorating flower beds and rock gardens, as well as for growing in containers and balcony boxes. A bud mutant with white buds, named "Virginia", was derived from this variety.
