The plant is a compact, bushy, upright or spreading shrub 20–30 cm tall, rarely up to 40–50 cm. Foliage is light green, evergreen. It belongs to the group of "bud-blooming" heathers (Knospenheide), thanks to which the flowers remain closed and resistant to wind and precipitation.
The variety is winter-hardy and undemanding. Used in landscape design for heather gardens, rock gardens, group plantings, as well as for container and balcony gardening.
