The variety is an evergreen shrub 30–40 cm in height with a dense, often spherical crown shape and bright green foliage. The plant's branches have an upright, ascending direction.
The purple-pink shade flowers are of the bud-flowering type and do not open fully. Due to the white base of the violet-pink petals, the flowers can appear bicolored. The flowering period occurs from August to October.
The plant is intended for ornamental gardening and requires sunny sites and acidic soils for growth. A mutation (sport) of this variety exists under the name Frischgrüne Kircher.
