Variety description

The variety is a mutation of the "Alexandra" variety. It is an upright bushy shrub 25–30 cm in height and 30–45 cm in diameter. The plant's foliage is dark green.

Flowering is of the "bud-blooming" type: the flowers are brick-red buds that do not open fully and retain their decorative appeal from late summer to November. The plant possesses high winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zone 5a.

Prefers sunny or semi-shaded locations, as well as acidic, well-drained peaty soils. Used in ornamental gardening for landscaping flower beds, borders, rock gardens, and container cultivation.
