The variety is a compact perennial shrub with upright shoots, reaching a height of 30–60 cm. The plant's foliage is evergreen, dark green in color, which becomes more intense with the onset of cold weather.
The plant belongs to the group of "bud-flowering" varieties, whose flowers do not open fully, retaining a purple color from August to December. The variety is frost-hardy (zones 4–7), resistant to frosts, rain, and fog, and is suitable for solitary planting, containers, and rock gardens.
