The plant is a low-growing, densely branched shrub 20–30 cm tall with a compact, rounded crown and upright shoots characterized by slow growth. The foliage is small, scale-like, and dark green in color.
It belongs to bud-flowering varieties, in which the flowers do not open fully. Large light pink buds are gathered in long racemose inflorescences that cover the shoots to their tips. The flowering period occurs in September–October.
The variety possesses high frost resistance (down to -25°C) and resistance to fungal diseases. Due to the characteristics of bud flowering, the sepals are resistant to precipitation and frosts, maintaining a decorative appearance until winter.
