The plant is a shrub with an upright habit, reaching a height of 25–40 cm with a width of about 25 cm. The variety is a non-flowering clone and does not form buds.
Young foliage has a lime-green or yellow-orange shade, which changes to a rusty-orange or deep red color as it matures. The plant looks most impressive during the autumn-winter period.
The variety is frost-resistant and low-maintenance, showing good tolerance to diseases and pests. Sunny areas with acidic, well-drained soils are preferred for cultivation. It is used in container gardening, borders, and rock gardens.
