This brand encompasses the fruits of several local varieties, such as Anserta, Abate, and Castagna Rossa, which belong to the Marrone cultivar group. The cultivation of these chestnuts in the Cilento region has a centuries-old history, and at the end of the 19th century, the best populations were selected through grafting.

The fruits are distinguished by a pronounced sweet taste and the ease with which the seed can be peeled from the shell. Due to their qualities, the products are valued both for fresh consumption and for use in the confectionery industry and culinary arts.
