The variety is a local ecotype adapted to the natural conditions of the Val di Susa valley in Italy. The plants grow in chestnut groves at altitudes from 400 to 1200 meters above sea level and are characterized by stable yields.

The fruits of this type are large in size, numbering about 90 pieces per kilogram of weight. Externally, they are characterized by a rounded shape and a light-colored shell.
