The variety is one of the first forms of Chaenomeles bred specifically for fruit production. Plants are distinguished by the absence of thorns on shoots and high adaptability to growing conditions.
During the period of full fruiting, the variety yields 4–8 kg of fruit per bush. Fruits ripen in early or mid-September and are used in the food and pharmaceutical industries due to their high content of vitamin C, antioxidants, and phenolic compounds.
