Variety description

10 August 2026

The Interpitra variety (trade name Pink Trail) is a wide-spreading, moderately thorny shrub with a height of 50-70 cm to 1.5 m. The plant is characterized by flowering in March-May with 2-3 cm flowers.

During the period from September to November, the shrub forms yellow-green fruits 2-4 cm in size, resembling an apple or pear in shape. The fruits are suitable for culinary use, including the preparation of jams, jellies, and beverages.

The plant belongs to hardiness zone 5a and is self-fertile, although there is a risk of flower damage from spring frosts. It is used in landscape design as a specimen plant or for hedges, and is also a honey plant.
