The Confiance variety is a smooth-leaved endive (Cichorium endivia var. latifolium). The plant is of medium size, intended for cultivation in the summer and autumn seasons; sowing is recommended between week 20 and week 32 of the year.

A distinctive feature of the variety is the rapid formation of a yellow heart. The variety exhibits heat tolerance, ensuring resistance to bolting at high temperatures. The produce is oriented toward the fresh leaf lettuce market.

This variety is often used in scientific research as a reference sample when conducting comparative metabolic, genetic, and transcriptomic analyses of endive.
