The plant forms large heads of conical or elliptical shape up to 20 cm in height and up to 35 cm in diameter. The intense green leaves have pronounced white petioles; the weight of a marketable head is about 350 g.

The variety is mid-season, with a vegetation period of 75 to 90 days. The crop is distinguished by high cold hardiness, which allows for harvesting until December, and is best suited for autumn cultivation when sown in late summer.

The leaves have a crisp texture and are used in cooking for salads, soups, and as a base for braising.
