Dinas belongs to the escarole group. The plant is characterized by large size and forms a voluminous head 35–40 cm in diameter with a full, tightly closed heart. The weight of one head is approximately 1 kg.
The plant's leaves are of medium intensity green color. The inner leaves are upright, and the outer ones have an elongated shape. The variety is intended for cultivation in the spring-autumn period and is used as a salad crop.
