The variety belongs to the witloof chicory group and is used for producing gourmet forcing heads in the dark. The cultivar was included in the N.I. Vavilov All-Russian Institute of Plant Genetic Resources collection in 1976 under sample number 48.
This variety is used in research studies on the growth dynamics and biomass formation of root crops and heads under plastic greenhouse conditions. Studies focus on comparing biometric indicators, such as root weight and head parameters, depending on growing conditions.
