The variety belongs to leaf chicory types and does not form a dense head. The plant forms a rosette of narrow, dark green leaves reaching a height of 12–15 cm. The variety is early-maturing: the period from sowing to the first cutting is from 30 to 45 days.

The plant is characterized by high winter hardiness, allowing for the harvest of leaves over a long period. Due to its ability to regrow quickly after cutting while maintaining the growing point, the variety is suitable for multiple harvests per season. The leaves have a pronounced bitter taste characteristic of Italian cuisine.
