Variety description

The Hernandina tree is vigorous, medium-sized and compact, with a spherical crown and dark green lanceolate leaves. Thorns on the branches are usually absent. The variety has a tendency towards alternate bearing.

The fruits are medium to large in size, slightly flattened in shape, weighing 85–100 grams. The peel is thin, aromatic, deep orange in color, sometimes with a greenish tinge at the base. The flesh is juicy, sweet with slight acidity, and easily separates from the peel.

The variety belongs to the late maturity group: the main harvest is collected in February–March, which is two months later than the Fina variety. The fruits are characterized by resistance to cracking from precipitation.
