The SRA-153 clone originates from the research station in San-Giuliano, France. In literature, it is characterized as a pathogen carrier and is not considered a commercial variety for mass production. The main trait of the clone is incompatibility when grafted onto Troyer citrange rootstock, leading to deformation of the graft union.
In international practice, the clone is used as an indicator plant for monitoring phytosanitary status. When there is a need to use the Meiwa variety for cultivation, only pathogen-tested versions obtained via micro-grafting are used to eliminate the presence of viral infections characteristic of the original SRA-153 clone.

Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
