The variety is a triploid hybrid bred by crossing the diploid mandarin variety Fortune and the tangor variety Ellendale. The key advantage of the variety is the absence of seeds, as well as the ability not to induce seed formation in other varieties during cross-pollination.

In agrotechnical experiments, this variety is predominantly grafted onto Citrus macrophylla rootstock. At the moment, the plant is at the stage of testing and variety evaluation in specialized collections; detailed morphological descriptions and data on ripening periods are absent in open publications.
