The tree is medium-sized with a spreading canopy and drooping branches. Leaves are thick, often slightly curled, which exposes their underside. The ripening period typically falls between November and March depending on the cultivation region.

Fruits are round-oblate, medium to large in size, covered with a thin, smooth, glossy dark orange peel that separates moderately easily. The flesh is juicy and sweet. The variety is prone to alternate bearing and fruit splitting, and is sensitive to citrus greening disease.

The original variety is characterized by moderate seediness, averaging 16–25 seeds per fruit. To reduce the number of seeds, a mutant clone DaisySL was developed, containing an average of about 2.2 seeds per fruit.
