The variety is a mutation of common Mediterranean mandarin. The plant is distinguished by slow growth and a compact, dense crown with thin branches and narrow leaves that have a pronounced aroma when rubbed.

Fruits are medium-sized, have a flattened shape, thin easily separable peel, and juicy, sweet pulp with a characteristic tartness. On average, the fruits contain up to 3 seeds, which is significantly less than in the original variety.

The variety is mid-early or mid-season; fruit ripening occurs in the period from November to January. The plant shows a tendency towards alternate bearing and is sensitive to infestation by scale insects and spider mites.
