The variety is a hybrid characterized by medium vigor and a nearly spherical canopy shape. Fruit ripening occurs in late September to early October. Fruits are of medium size, weighing about 95 g, with a diameter of about 6 cm and a yellow-orange color; however, during early harvest dates, the peel often remains green.

Palatability is rated as medium, with a soluble solids content of about 10.23%. The variety is susceptible to fruit cracking during the ripening period. Based on Rishon, mutant lines with fewer seeds, such as the Kedem variety, were obtained through gamma irradiation.
