Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety was discovered in 1950 in Australia as a natural mutation of the Washington Navel variety. The tree is characterized by moderate vigor, forming a compact spherical crown with lanceolate dark green leaves. In the open field, the height reaches 2.4–3.6 meters; in containers, the plant is more miniature.

The fruits are of medium size, round-ovoid in shape, with smooth skin and a weakly expressed navel. The flesh is orange, juicy and sweet, and usually seedless. The fruits have a low limonin content, which prevents the appearance of bitterness in the juice.

The variety is late-maturing and ripens 4–6 weeks later than the parent variety. The crop can remain on the tree for several months, which significantly extends the harvesting period. The plant is sensitive to temperature fluctuations and requires protection when temperatures drop below -5 °C.
