The variety is a spontaneous mutation of the Owari satsuma mandarin. The plant is characterized by sufficient vigor and cold hardiness down to -11 °C.

The fruits of this variety are characterized by sweetness, juiciness, lack of seeds, and ease of peeling. The variety exhibits male sterility and is prone to facultative and vegetative parthenocarpy.

The harvesting period falls in January and February, which allows for extending the consumption season of satsuma mandarins until the end of winter.
