The variety belongs to the Satsuma group and is the result of selection at the INRAE station. The plant is a small evergreen tree characterized by less vigorous growth compared to other citrus species. The shoots of the variety have a pronounced tendency to droop, which often requires the use of supports when forming the crown.

Fruits ripen late, with the harvest period falling in December–February. The frost resistance of the variety reaches -12°C. This clone has been certified as virus-free planting material and is recognized as standardized for production.
