The variety belongs to the very early category; fruit harvesting usually occurs in September and October. In literature, it is mentioned as a synonym or the original name for the Xie Shan variety. The fruits are distinguished by their small size: the average weight is about 73 g, and the average diameter is 55 mm. The variety is characterized by high sugar content and easy peelability.

The plant possesses relative cold hardiness inherent to the Satsuma group. The variety is used in commercial fruit growing as an early variety. In phytopathology studies, it was noted that the health status of clones can vary, including cases of Citrus tristeza virus infection in old plantations.
