The trees are slow-growing, reaching a height of 2–3 meters in open field cultivation and 1–1.5 meters in container cultivation. The crown is spreading, with drooping branches; thorns are absent. Plants of this group are considered the most cold-hardy among citrus and are capable of withstanding short-term frosts down to –7 °C...–11 °C.
Fruits for table use have an average weight of 60–120 g, are characterized by a thin, easily detachable peel and juicy flesh with a balanced sweet and sour taste. The group is characterized by early maturity, including the extra-early Wase group varieties, which ripen in September.
