The variety is an early mutation of the Satsuma mandarin, presumably originating from the Owari type. The plant has low vigor and a compact habit, reaching 100–150 cm in pot culture. The wood of the variety is distinguished by increased hardness, which ensures resistance to low temperatures, as well as good adaptability to container cultivation.

The fruit ripening period falls in September-October. The fruits have an oblate shape, an average weight of 150–200 grams, and a thin rind that easily separates from the flesh at full maturity. The flesh possesses an intense sweet flavor and, as a rule, contains no seeds. The variety is intended for fresh consumption.
