The Lapithou tree variety has vigorous growth and a tendency for strong canopy expansion, which requires increased planting distances. The plant's shoots are covered with thorns.

The fruits are medium to large in size and have an oblong oval shape, are practically seedless, and are distinguished by high juiciness. The chemical composition of essential oils includes specific monoterpenes, in particular β-pinene.

The main harvest occurs in September-October; however, with proper care, fruiting can continue throughout the year. The variety exhibits satisfactory resistance to mal secco disease (Phoma tracheiphila).
