The tree is characterized by moderate vigor and a spreading, rounded crown with drooping branches, which may have thorns. The variety is self-sterile and requires pollinator varieties to obtain a stable yield.
The fruits are medium to large in size, rounded, with a thin, easily separable peel that retains a greenish hue even when ripe. The juicy, orange-yellow pulp contains seeds and has a taste that combines the sweetness of a mandarin and the bitterness of a grapefruit.
The plant has limited cold hardiness and is capable of withstanding short-term temperature drops down to -8°C in protected cultivation. The fruit ripening period lasts from mid-October to January.
