The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and a spreading canopy; young shoots may have thorns. Leaves are elliptical or oval with a pointed tip; petioles have a wing. The fruit is oblate in shape, weighing 170–220 g, and has a dark orange fine-textured peel that separates easily from the pulp.

The pulp is juicy and sweet, with a flavor reminiscent of a combination of clementine and orange. Due to its triploid nature, the variety is practically seedless. Diurnal temperature fluctuations are necessary for the development of an intense red shade in the pulp.

The variety is classified as mid-late, with harvesting in the Northern Hemisphere taking place from mid-February to April. Features of the crop include a tendency for pre-harvest fruit drop, a possible delay in the onset of fruiting, and the susceptibility of the fruit to damage due to its thin peel.
