The plant is a shrubby, semi-climbing perennial vine with a woody base and purple or black stems. Height ranges from 60–70 cm to 150–180 cm. Leaves are lanceolate or elliptical in shape and dark green in color.

Flowers 5–8 cm in diameter have a nodding, open bell shape with sepal edges slightly recurved. The color varies from deep pink to a purple-pink shade.

The variety belongs to pruning group 3, requiring annual shortening of current-year shoots to 30–50 cm from the ground. The plant is winter hardy, adapts well to various soil types, and is suitable for vertical landscaping, containers, and mixed borders.
