The plant is a vine reaching a height of 3–4 meters. The flowers are tulip-bell shaped, upward-facing, and have an average diameter of 4–6 cm. The sepals are a saturated purple-pink color on the outside, while the inner side is pure white or cream-white with a purple stripe in the center. The foliage is green and may acquire a purple tint in the spring.
The variety belongs to pruning group 3; shoots of the current year must be pruned in the spring at a height of 15–25 cm from the ground level. The flowering period lasts from July to September. The plant prefers sunny or semi-shaded locations, protected from the wind, with fertile drained soil. Frost resistance corresponds to USDA zones 4–5.
Used in vertical landscaping for decorating pergolas, gazebos, arches, and fences, as well as for cultivation in combination with shrubs and trees or in containers. Valued for the shape of the flowers, contrasting coloration, and the decorativeness of the seed heads, which persist on the plant during the autumn-winter period.
